Drina
Drina began her work in entertainment as a Production Services apprentice with Disney’s ABC where, over the span of thirteen months, she spent three weeks training and working in all departments on a working television show (“General Hospital”). During this time, she joined I.A.T.S.E. Local 33, where she worked on numerous events and productions for eight years.
Drina eventually ventured outside of the union to work in a variety of art departments and other production positions on numerous projects. Some of Drina’s film and television credits include Production Designer for the multi-award-winning feature film “My Name is Myeisha,” Producer for the multi-award-winning short film “Hell’s Belles,” Art Director for “The Tavis Smiley Show,” and Special Effects for NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
Drina is also a theatrical director, producer, and designer. Her directing, producing, and designer credits include shows for Porters of Hellsgate Theatre, The Group Repertory Theatre, Mammoth Lakes Repertory, Actor’s Studio West, Santa Monica’s Morgan-Wixson Theatre, Woodcraft Rangers Teatro Fogata, and Crescenta Valley High (as a teaching-artist).
Drina is currently the Company Manager for Lower Depth Theatre and the first ever Managing Director for the Porters of Hellsgate Theatre Company. She was formerly a member of The Group Repertory Theater Company for nine years, where she was a member of the Artistic Council and former Board Vice President.
Additional work includes consulting on live events, producing, stage management, and graphic design.
